In the lead-up to Bharat’s 78th Independence Day, the Kamrup Metropolitan district in Guwahati hosted a grand bike and car rally as part of the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. The event, aimed at instilling a strong sense of patriotism among residents, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the district administration, police, and State Transport department.
Sumit Sattawan, the Kamrup Metropolitan District Commissioner, highlighted the rally’s significance as an extension of the government’s broader initiative. “This rally is in line with our ongoing efforts to promote the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign,” Sattawan said.
He added that for the past two years, similar programs have been held annually, with this year’s rally continuing that tradition. “Today’s event is part of a series of activities across Assam, all designed to evoke national pride and encourage citizens to display the national flag on August 15th.”
The rally is one of many events organised throughout Assam to celebrate Bharat’s independence, reflecting widespread enthusiasm for the campaign. As the nation gears up for Independence Day, such initiatives play a crucial role in uniting citizens and encouraging a shared sense of patriotism.
