As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” program, a massive 600-foot-long Indian flag was paraded through Seppa in East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh, during a grand Tiranga Yatra. In the event, over 2,000 students participated from various schools across the district, making it a significant display of national pride.
The Tiranga Yatra was attended by prominent figures, including East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana, Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung, Seppa East MLA Ealling Tallang, and Chayangtajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi. The rally, led by Home Minister and East Kameng native Mama Natung, marked a proud moment for the district as Bharat approaches its 76th year of independence.
This year’s rally follows the district’s 2023 achievement, where a 300-foot-long national flag was carried through Seppa town, earning widespread acclaim. The 2024 event, featuring an even larger flag, saw thousands of participants who walked through the streets chanting patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
In his address, Home Minister Mama Natung accentuated the significance of the national flag and the objectives of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. “The tricolour holds deep meaning — saffron symbolises sacrifice and power, white represents peace and truth, while green stands for growth,” Natung explained. He urged every citizen to hoist the flag at their homes as a display of patriotism.
Natung also highlighted that the 600-foot-long flag was specially brought from New Delhi to instil a sense of nationalism in the people of Seppa and surrounding areas. Additionally, he praised the efforts of the district administration and the police department in successfully implementing the ‘Nasha Mukt Abhiyan’ campaign in the district.
East Kameng DC Sachin Rana also spoke at the event, encouraging residents to support the district government in its initiatives, aiming to bring pride and progress to the region.
